We set off in the evening, after picking up the RV, and had a fast drive down to Santa Cruz, where we camped just before midnight... no pictures!
Down to Monterey, for a whale-watching trip!

Set off early to get to Hollywood...

 ... and yes,
the Jurassic Park ride is wet! |
Up in the hills south of LA, where we went for a short, hot hike:

 Cruising through

Drove on down to Joshua Tree National Park, to see some desert...

Turned North again... which means driving right across the Mojave. Hot going!

Drove into Sequoia National Park, and visited the big trees. It's difficult to take pictures of big trees, though.

... and drove into King's Canyon, at Cedar Grove, where we spent the afternoon hanging around by the river.
Got energetic again, and hiked up the Mist Falls trail.

Left King's Canyon, and headed (via Fresno) to Yosemite, where we hit Glacier Point in the evening.
